Enzo J. Barichello, K.C., is a retired Bennett Jones LLP partner and senior business lawyer with extensive experience in commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financing matters, public policy, and corporate governance.
He was formerly Managing Partner of Bennett Jones’ Edmonton office, co-leader of the firm’s commercial transactions practice group, Co-head of its Government Affairs & Public Policy Group, and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. His legal practice included electric power and gas transactions, energy and pharmaceutical-sector transactions, forestry purchase and sale transactions, major commercial leases, airport management and operations transactions, logistics arrangements, and related joint ventures.
Enzo has advised electric power and gas utilities, pharmaceutical companies, airport operators, logistics corporations, real estate developers, forestry companies, telecommunications companies, oil and gas companies, financial institutions, pension funds, private enterprises, and domestic and international investors. He has been recognized as a leading energy and infrastructure lawyer in Canada and has been repeatedly recommended for corporate commercial, corporate mid-market, and mergers and acquisitions work.
His governance experience includes serving as Vice-Chairman and Director of the Edmonton Regional Airports Authority, Vice-Chairman, Acting Chairman and Governor of MacEwan University, Chair of Edmonton Global, and board member of the Forestry Industry Suppliers Association of Alberta. He has also served on boards across many sectors, including legal services, pharmaceuticals, non-destructive testing, agri-food, community and cultural sectors.
