
Connie has 28 years of diverse and progressively responsible experience working with the Agriculture and Food sectors. Scientist by background, through her tenure, Connie has worked in many different areas of the agriculture sector including: food, feed, primary production, and bio-industrial. Starting as a research scientist and eventually becoming an Executive Manager, Connie was responsible for the development and implementation of several key initiatives within the provincial government. Additionally, Connie was successful in developing and supporting industry partners in commercializing several new food products. Connie’s focus shifted from research to strategic planning and policy development for food safety, animal welfare, and social license. She has technical expertise in product development, and pilot scale process and product design in segments of the food, feed, personal care and bio-industrial sectors.
