
With a B.A.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and further studies at the Banff School of Advanced Management, Bob has over 30 years of experience in the iron and steel manufacturing sector. A former senior executive and director at Stelco Inc., he played a pivotal role in the company’s turnaround in the 1990s, significantly improving productivity and financial health. His expertise includes corporate restructuring, change management, and operational improvement. Post-retirement, he established an independent business advisory practice, providing strategic, operational, and technical guidance to major clients. He has also served on the boards of several companies, including Bruce Power Inc. and HatchCo Holdings, and has served as a Commissioner with both the B.C. Securities Commission and the B.C. Utilities Commission. His professional memberships include the Association for Iron and Steel Technology and registration with the engineering associations of Ontario and British Columbia.
