
Allan has over 35 years of experience in designing, conducting and evaluating research on air quality and the effects of air pollution on Albertan and international terrestrial ecosystems. He is an expert in multidisciplinary environmental research design, initiation, coordination, management and execution. Allan received various awards by organizations such as the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists; Alberta Research Council and the Air and Waste Management Association. He has experience in government and industry related research projects and has worked with the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board; Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development; Husky; Petro-Canada and TransCanada Pipeline. Allan was previously the Senior Research Scientist with the Kananaskis Centre for Environmental Research and Senior Research Officer for the Alberta Research Council.
