Dr. Arman Hemmati is an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta and the Engineering Research Chair in Emissions Reduction Technologies. He has over 16 years of experience in fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, and multiphysics modelling, with expertise spanning computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, and engineering design across academic and industry settings. Arman’s experience includes prior work as an R&D Engineer at Royal Dutch Shell, active partnerships with energy and aerospace industry leaders, and collaborations with organizations including Los Alamos National Laboratory, Natural Resources Canada, the National Research Council of Canada, and Alberta Innovates. He holds a BSc and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University.
