IMC Team Members

Much of our insight comes from the experience of our team members. IMC takes considerable pride in its team, and the fact that over 25 team members are former clients.

Daryl Nichol

Daryl is a seasoned pulp manufacturing executive with over 45 years of industry experience, beginning his career with Fraser Inc. in Atholville, New Brunswick, before joining Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac), where he spent 29 years in progressively senior leadership roles. At Al-Pac, Daryl was instrumental in developing and implementing the company’s reliability program, a key foundation that strengthened operational performance and asset management across the mill, and subsequently led a cross-functional team to debottleneck the pulp machine to deliver substantial and sustained production gains. He advanced to serve as an officer of the company in the role of Vice President of Pulp Operations, providing strategic leadership in production, optimization, and long-term planning, and later served as Director of Pulp and Power following Al-Pac’s acquisition by Hokuetsu Corporation to ensure a smooth operational transition. Throughout his tenure, Daryl led numerous major capital initiatives that modernized the mill, including the installation of a new single-line woodroom, significant recovery boiler and evaporator upgrades, and the addition of a condensing steam turbine and 28 kilometres of transmission line infrastructure.
