John Fox

John has over thirty years of experience with the Government of Canada across a number of departments and in a number of positions in policy development, program design and delivery and intergovernmental relations. His most recent position was as Director General and chief negotiator for the Strategic Innovation Fund in Innovation, Science, and Economic Development (ISED) where he successfully concluded deals with major companies across Canadian industry, including the auto, aerospace, biomanufacturing and ITC sectors. Prior to ISED, John was responsible for design and delivery of science, innovation and food programs at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). He also has significant experience working with provincial governments and indigenous communities.
