Project:
    Client was developing a technology to separate components from a tailings pond stream.
Enhancement:
    IMC has performed business planning, financial modeling, market research and regulatory assistance to enhance their success in extracting minerals and bitumen from an oil sands tailings stream.

     

     

  • Large Oil Sands Company

Project:

Client needed interim management support to meet a key deliverable.

Enhancement:

IMC provided interim management services for the public affairs and regulatory area. As well, a regulatory roadmap for a large project, and related planning documents were developed to assist in the permitting of the project.

 

  • Province Of Alberta

Project:

Client required analytical support related to the bitumen royalty in kind program.

Enhancement:

IMC conducted financial modeling related to upgrading, and prepared detailed market assessments related to different bitumen grades and diluent and assessed pipeline capacity, tariffs and netbacks.

Project:

Client required assistance in approval process of an in-situ project.

Enhancement:

IMC assessed environmental impacts and regulatory requirements.

Project:

A consortium of companies required assistance as they explored carbon capture and storage feasibility.

Enhancement:

IMC provided modeling, technical analysis, regulatory support and policy advice.

Project:

Client required assistance in the development of a plant and pipeline structure in central Alberta that would serve refinery and petrochemical customers.

Enhancement:

IMC services included commercial support with business development,  local and government stakeholder engagement services, policy and political support, regulatory trouble-shooting and the development and implementation of a First Nations consultation plan.

Project:
    Client requested advice on a range of public policy issues.
Enhancement:
    IMC provided policy and political advice on a range of issues including tenure and royalty rights, indigenous peoples' relations, climate change, water policy and electricity issues.

 

 

  • Resource Industry High Technology Company

Project:

Client required assistance in assessing potential oil sands focused aquisitions.

Enhancement:

IMC provided pre-investment due diligence, and an assessment of the opportunity to accelerate growth by acquiring a proximate financially distressed producer of industrial aggregates, as well as strategic advice on the prospects of value realization.

Project:

Client needed assistance in its early phase planning and operations risk assessment as it prepared for commercial production.

Enhancement:

IMC conducted regulatory and labour supply assessments to aid the company in evaluating their exposure in these two areas, and served to support the development of strategies to address and mitigate that risk moving forward.
